Mebus MIM-Technik GmbH, a specialist in metal injection molding (MIM) and ceramic injection molding (CIM) technology, announces the appointment of Pouya Moghimian as the new CEO and managing director of the company. He succeeds Michael Mebus, the founder of the company, who will now support the company as an advisor after nearly 20 years of leadership and innovation.
Based in Neuhausen, Germany, between Karlsruhe and Stuttgart, Mebus MIM-Technik was founded nearly 20 years ago by Michael Mebus. The company quickly became a reference in the field of metal injection molding (MIM). In addition to MIM parts, the company also established CIM production for ceramic components. These manufacturing processes allow for the production of large volumes of small, complex metal and ceramic parts with highly precise tolerances and significant production gains. This gives Mebus a considerable competitive advantage that has opened up new markets.
Thanks to the deep expertise and know-how of a loyal workforce, the company primarily serves the medical instrument market, including high-end, single-use surgical products such as laparoscopic and endoscopic instrument forceps, components for water jet surgery, and screws for orthodontic treatment. Mebus MIM-Technik thus supplies the largest German medical technology companies, as well as the mechanical engineering, aerospace, and microtechnology industries.
Pouya Moghimian brings extensive experience in leadership and technical expertise to Mebus MIM-Technik. “I am honored to join Mebus MIM-Technik and continue the legacy of Michael Mebus, together with the local team and supported by Artur Kessler, Technical Director and co-managing director of the company, and Deniz Murioglu, Production Director. I am confident that we will continue to innovate and deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients, leverage the operational strengths across the Acrotec Group to create added value, while exploring new markets and strengthening our position as a leader in the sector” says Pouya Moghimian.
Pouya Moghimian has an impressive career in materials engineering and additive manufacturing. He earned his Ph.D. in materials science from the Max Planck Institute. His research has been widely recognized and cited, particularly on metal alloys in additive manufacturing and the biomimetic synthesis of ceramic composites. Before joining Mebus MIM-Technik, Pouya held leadership positions at GE Additive, where he drove the company’s business development in medical and aerospace sectors.
Michael Mebus, who has led the company since its inception, expresses confidence in his successor: “After joining the Acrotec Group last year and working on my succession, I am convinced that Pouya will enable the company to continue its growth in the medical field while benefiting from the support of the Acrotec Group. I want to thank my team, our clients, and our partners for long and close collaboration and all the progress. I express this gratitude with the deep conviction that this new stage for Mebus will give us additional means and offer us exceptional synergies to conquer new markets.”
